I am a talented session musician based in Liverpool, renowned for my exceptional multi-instrumental skills. Combining my passion for music with a diverse background in genres, I write heartfelt compositions and deliver outstanding live performances. I have held a variety of positions ranging from rock and roll guitarist through to church organist, all powered by my overwhelming love of music.

Music
Having started studying piano at the age of 9, I have worked in almost every genre and scenario imaginable. I graduated with a first class honours in Songwriting and Performance from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and has established myself as a key player in the Northern music scene. As a member of The Valentines, I have also worked in Los Angeles at Studio City Sounds recording their debut album. I studied orchestration under Joe Duddell and Thomas Pilsbury, allowing me access to a wide range of orchestral timbres. I currently work as guitarist with Iona Summer and Anna Silvers alongside my own project, The Valentines
Experience
Session Work
As a session musician, I have been involved in numerous projects, lending my expertise to bring songs to life through orchestration and instrumentation. As a multi instrumentalist, I am able to offer a wide variety of textures, having played guitar, piano, organ, mandolin, bass, accordion, lap steel, harmonica and banjo on records in the past. I have appeared on songs released by Lola Belle, Lexi Riza, The Valentines and George Howarth. In 2024, I was hired as the lead guitarist for Spanish artist Depedro for a run of European dates across his summer tour, teaching me the skills required as a touring act.

Live Performance
I excel in live settings, engaging audiences with my dynamic stage presence and ability to adapt to various musical genres and styles. Having performed over 100 shows in the last four years, I am able to inhabit any stage comfortably. Working equally proficiently as a keys player and a guitarist, I am able to add to any given live context. I am also an experienced sight reader and improviser so can support a song from a moment's notice.

Composition
Offering songwriting and arrangement services, I can craft memorable music tailored to specific briefs, ensuring each piece resonates with its intended audience. Having studied songwriting for three years, I am established as both an independent songwriter and collaborator to create the best song possible. I am also a trained orchestrator and composer having written romantic string and brass arrangements for Lola Belle. Having scored several short films whilst a student, I co-wrote and scored the movie musical "Dial M for Music!" alongside Amy Harwood and Lily Cowan. The film was a critical success, hosting its premier at DYSCO in Liverpool.

Versatility
Drawing influences from genres as disparate as Soul, Country, Americana, Rock and Folk, I am equally adept and adaptable to almost any musical context. Having studied jazz guitar for three years, I have the technical ability to deliver the perfect part; however, my musical heroes include Mike Campbell, Robbie Robertson, Steve Cropper and George Harrison - players who instead are able to create small perfect parts that melodically add to the song. Similarly, my keyboard playing has been compared to Leon Russell, Roy Bittan and Nicky Hopkins in both their virtuosity and ability to play for the song.
